Ura BHU

The Basic Health Unit serving Ura Gewog in Bumthang Dzongkhag, situated in one of Bhutan's most picturesque highland valleys at approximately 3,100 meters. The BHU provides primary care, maternal health, immunization, and emergency services to the farming communities of the Ura Valley, known for its annual Ura Yakchoe festival and buckwheat cultivation. As the easternmost gewog in Bumthang, Ura BHU plays a vital role in ensuring healthcare access for communities that are over an hour's drive from the district hospital in Jakar.
