The highest court of the Kingdom of Bhutan, established under Chapter 21 of the 2008 Constitution. Headed by the Chief Justice of Bhutan, the Supreme Court comprises the Chief Justice and four Drangpon (justices) appointed by the King on the recommendation of the National Judicial Commission. It serves as the final court of appeal and the guardian of the Constitution, with the authority of judicial review over legislation and executive actions.
