Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan

Bhutan's central bank, responsible for monetary policy, issuing the Ngultrum (BTN) currency, regulating financial institutions, and managing the country's foreign exchange reserves. Established by Royal Charter, the RMA supervises all commercial banks, insurance companies, and financial institutions operating in Bhutan. It maintains the fixed peg of the Ngultrum to the Indian Rupee at par and oversees the Royal Securities Exchange of Bhutan.
