Punakha Hospital

The district hospital for Punakha Dzongkhag, the former capital of Bhutan, situated in the fertile valley at the confluence of the Mo Chhu and Pho Chhu rivers. Operating with approximately 30 beds, it provides inpatient and outpatient services including general medicine, maternal and child health, basic surgery, dental care, and traditional medicine. The hospital serves a catchment area of over 27,000 residents across Punakha's ten gewogs as part of Bhutan's constitutionally guaranteed free healthcare system.
