Phuentsholing Hospital

A major hospital in Bhutan's commercial capital and primary border crossing town of Phuentsholing in Chhukha Dzongkhag. With approximately 50 beds, it is one of the largest non-referral hospitals in the country, reflecting the town's dense population and its role as the gateway for over 80% of Bhutan's trade with India. The hospital provides general medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, dental care, and 24-hour emergency services. Its border location and subtropical low-elevation setting present unique public health challenges including higher rates of vector-borne and communicable diseases.
