A prominent monastic complex comprising over a dozen lhakhangs and meditation huts scattered across a forested mountainside at approximately 3,600 meters above the Thimphu Valley. Founded in the 13th century by Phajo Drugom Zhigpo's disciple Togden Phajodin, it has been an important meditation retreat for centuries. The monastery was placed on the 2012 World Monuments Watch list for endangered sites and has since undergone restoration. It is accessible via a 3-4 hour uphill hike from Motithang and serves as a base camp on the popular Druk Path Trek.
