Pema Gatshel District Court

The district court of Pema Gatshel, serving as the court of first instance for civil and criminal cases in the dzongkhag. Bhutan's judiciary operates independently under the Constitution of 2008, and the district court handles matters ranging from land disputes and family law to criminal offences. Appeals from this court are directed to the High Court in Thimphu. The court serves all eleven gewogs of the district.
