Staffed by trained Drungtsho (traditional medicine doctors) and Menpa (traditional medicine practitioners), the unit offers pulse diagnosis, herbal medicine compounded from locally sourced and centrally distributed medicinal plants, moxibustion, and therapeutic advice rooted in Buddhist medical traditions. Patients may choose to receive traditional treatment alongside or as an alternative to modern medicine, reflecting Bhutan's unique integrated healthcare philosophy.
