Paro Hospital

The district hospital serving Paro Dzongkhag, one of Bhutan's most visited districts due to its proximity to Paro International Airport and Taktsang Monastery. With approximately 30 beds, the hospital provides general medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, dental care, and emergency services free of charge to all citizens. It serves a catchment population of over 46,000 and handles a significant number of tourist-related medical cases. The hospital also operates outreach clinics to Basic Health Units across Paro's ten gewogs.
