The district administration for Paro, one of Bhutan's most historically and economically important dzongkhags. Home to the country's sole international airport and iconic landmarks including Taktsang Monastery, the Rinpung Dzong houses both the district administration and the monastic body. The Dzongdag oversees ten gewogs, managing agriculture (Paro is one of Bhutan's major rice-growing valleys), tourism coordination, and preservation of Paro's rich cultural heritage.
