Korphu BHU

The Basic Health Unit serving Korphu Gewog, one of the most isolated communities in Trongsa Dzongkhag, situated in the deep gorge of the Mangde Chhu river. The BHU provides essential primary healthcare, maternal services, immunizations, and emergency stabilization to a small, scattered population in extremely rugged terrain. Korphu is known for the rare black-necked crane sightings and is famous for producing some of Bhutan's finest cane and bamboo crafts. The BHU is critical given that reaching the district hospital in Trongsa requires a journey of several hours over difficult trails.
