Khaling BHU

A Basic Health Unit Grade I serving the communities of Khaling Gewog in Trashigang Dzongkhag, eastern Bhutan. The BHU provides essential primary healthcare services including outpatient consultations, maternal and child health care, immunizations, family planning, basic diagnostic services, and emergency first aid — all free of charge under Bhutan's universal healthcare system. BHU Grade I facilities are typically staffed by a Health Assistant and nurse, and serve as the first point of contact for communities that may be hours away from the nearest district hospital.
