Katsho Goemba

A Buddhist monastery in Katsho gewog, one of the principal religious institutions in Haa district. The goemba sits on a hillside overlooking the Haa Valley and houses a small community of monks who follow the Drukpa Kagyu tradition. The monastery contains ancient murals and sacred relics, and its annual ritual cycle includes masked dances (cham) performed during local festivals that draw devotees from across the valley.
