A working factory and cultural demonstration center producing traditional Bhutanese paper (deh-sho) from the bark of the Daphne bush using methods virtually unchanged for centuries. The handmade paper is used for Buddhist scriptures, prayer flags, official government documents, and as a luxury craft product. Visitors can observe the entire papermaking process from bark stripping to drying and buy finished products. The factory plays a vital role in preserving one of the 13 traditional arts (Zorig Chusum) and supplies paper to monasteries and institutions across Bhutan.
