Jomolhari Trek

One of Bhutan's most celebrated treks, this 8-9 day route travels from Drukgyel Dzong in Paro to Thimphu via Jomolhari Base Camp at 4,040 m, offering spectacular views of Mount Jomolhari (7,326 m) and Jichu Drake (6,989 m). The trek crosses Nyile La pass at 4,870 m, passes through yak-herding settlements of Jangothang, Lingshi, and Shodu, and traverses temperate forests of blue pine and rhododendron. Best undertaken April-June and September-November, it requires pack animals and camping support.
