Bhutan's largest protected area, covering 4,349 km² across Gasa, Paro, Thimphu, and Punakha districts, with elevations from 1,400 m to over 7,000 m including the sacred peak Jomolhari (7,326 m). The park harbours 37 mammal species and over 300 bird species including snow leopards, Bengal tigers, takin, blue sheep, red pandas, and the critically endangered white-bellied heron. Named after Prime Minister Jigme Palden Dorji, it features the Jomolhari Trek and the northern section of the Snowman Trek, with biological corridors connecting to Wangchuck Centennial and Jigme Singye Wangchuck national parks.
