Global Bhutanese Hindu Organization (GBHO)

The largest religious organization of the Bhutanese diaspora, serving Hindu Lhotshampa refugees across the United States and other countries. Founded in 2013 with 108 founding members and registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Ohio. GBHO operates from its 150-acre world headquarters — Om Center Divya Dham — in Galion, Ohio, and has organized major religious gatherings including the 2025 Vishwa Shanti Gyan Mahayagya attended by approximately 50,000 people. Programs include a priest registry (150+ registered priests), daily virtual yoga/meditation sessions, Sanskrit and Nepali language education, health and wellness initiatives, and youth programming.
