Bangladesh's diplomatic mission in Bhutan, one of only a handful of resident embassies in Thimphu. Bangladesh and Bhutan established diplomatic relations in 1971, and the two countries cooperate on trade, hydropower, and regional connectivity through SAARC and BIMSTEC. The embassy facilitates bilateral trade agreements, visa services, and coordinates development cooperation including cross-border transit arrangements that give landlocked Bhutan access to Bangladeshi ports.
