A historically significant temple in Dagana district, one of several religious sites established during the period of Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal's consolidation of Bhutanese statehood in the 17th century. The lhakhang houses Buddhist statues and sacred paintings, and serves as a place of worship and community gathering for the surrounding villages. The temple name, meaning "auspicious summit," reflects its location on elevated ground overlooking the surrounding valleys.
