Chumey Primary School

A community primary school in the Chumey Valley of Bumthang district, known for its weaving tradition and buckwheat agriculture. The school provides pre-primary through class VI education to children from farming families in one of Bumthang's four main valleys. Chumey is renowned for producing yathra, a colourful woollen textile handwoven by local women, and the school serves as a focal point for this tight-knit agricultural community at approximately 2,700 meters elevation.
