Chubu Tshachu

A cluster of natural hot spring pools located along the Pho Chhu river in the Chubu area of Punakha district, renowned for their therapeutic mineral content including calcium, sulphur, and sodium bicarbonate. Accessible via a short trek from the road, the pools range in temperature from warm to very hot and are traditionally used to treat rheumatism, joint pain, and skin ailments. The springs are especially popular during the cooler months from October to March.
