Buli Lhakhang

A traditional temple in Buli gewog, Zhemgang, serving the spiritual needs of the local Kheng community. The lhakhang is associated with the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and contains wall paintings depicting the life of Guru Rinpoche. Buli's weaving tradition is closely linked to the temple, with women offering their finest handwoven textiles to the lhakhang during annual ceremonies. The temple sits amidst broadleaf subtropical forest rich in bird species.
