Bhutan's first private newspaper, launched in 2006 as a weekly English-language publication covering national news, politics, business, sports, and culture. Its establishment marked a milestone in Bhutan's media liberalization ahead of the 2008 democratic transition, breaking the government's monopoly on print media previously held by Kuensel. The paper provides independent journalism on governance, development, and social issues, and publishes both print and online editions reaching the Bhutanese diaspora worldwide.
