The state-owned utility responsible for electricity transmission and distribution across all 20 dzongkhags of Bhutan. A subsidiary of Druk Holding and Investments, BPC manages the national grid infrastructure including transmission lines, substations, and the distribution network serving over 100,000 households and businesses. Bhutan has achieved near-universal electrification thanks to BPC's rural electrification programs, and the corporation imports power from India during dry winter months when domestic hydropower generation decreases.
