Art Cafe

One of Thimphu's original cafe culture pioneers, Art Cafe combines a relaxed coffee shop atmosphere with rotating exhibitions of work by contemporary Bhutanese artists. The menu features espresso-based coffee drinks, teas, smoothies, sandwiches, and light meals. With its book-lined shelves, free Wi-Fi, and creative ambiance, the cafe has become a gathering spot for Thimphu's arts community, writers, and expatriates. It represents the emergence of a cosmopolitan cafe culture in a capital city that had virtually no independent cafes before the 2000s.
