Talk page for The Happiest Country On Earth Is Running Out Of Bhutanese

read this twice this morning. there are sentences in here I have been waiting to read on a Bhutanese site for years. the visa point is the one I keep coming back to. I know people in three different cities who have been refused. the official line and the actual outcome are not the same thing. that is the part nobody who hasn't been through it understands. I will push back on one thing though. the editorial calls the king gullible. I think the more useful word is young. the hardliners around him were people his father trusted. it's not gullible to trust the room your father built. it just turns out to be wrong, sometimes, expensively. and the 'most loyal of Bhutanese' line is the one I cannot stop thinking about. that is the bit I want my children to understand. the Lhotshampa were not a security threat. they were a demographic one to a particular kind of imagination. those are different things. what is everyone else's read? — and am I the only one who wants this piece published in Dzongkha and Nepali, not just English?

You said you are speaking on behalf of the Bhutanese but I can't see any real issues being raised than the illegal Napelese immigrants who farmed public land as if they owned them and worshiping the King of Nepal which every home in Nepalese home, who called the Bhutanese from the north and other parts of the country as 'Botey, Gaday, Topray', who proclaimed themselves to be a superior race than the other Bhutanese, and who fled after they failed to overthrow the King and it's people to create a greater Nepal or Gorkha Land, and who forced their own innocent villagers to leave their land or otherwise face the consequences of 'Towka Jolama, Jeu Kholama'. And now you become BhutanWiki producers calling your Bhutanese. Hell with your propaganda. Leave us alone.

Well presented, explicitly exposed the hypocrisy. Too polite to draw due attentions of all concerned including international bodies to settle the issue with universal justice. justice. though. though
